Hi, folks, I've been searching for a guide to assemble a hp snow vehicle. After the succesful skibike adaptors and the great fun with the skibike, now I need to create an HP snow drivetrain. There are many options to buy replacements for wheels of ATV and cross bikes, but there are none for the bike.
I'm planning to use 26" MTB frame and fork, but I also consider using 20" BMX frame as it will be lighter and lower
I don't care that much about the speed or even the weight, as long as the power is transferred with good efficiency to the snowchain.
So far, I imagine the whole unit to pivot around the rear hub; also I'd like to preserve the rear disc brake, as in the front I'll put the ski-adaptor with the ski.
I don't have an idea how to find/assemble the snowchain, or where to find the wheels which will hold and apply the force to the chain. I guess I need help mostly there.

If ever such vehicle comes out, I'm sure there are lots of people in the world who could benefit from it

when you are driving a bike in snow you need not a bike only you also need good dress to face the temperature that is almost greater then -5 with snow.

see: "Winter HPVs (Sites)" and "Winter HPVs (Patents)" sections

also see:" US 3,467,375 [Bush’s propeller assisted pogo stick (sort of) (1969)]"
proving a fool and their money are soon parted.

The Ktrak conversion kit for a donor MTB frame has been on the market for at least a couple of years;

Heres the web-site: http://www.ktrakcycle.com/
