Frame building supplies, misc components, tubing

Aircraft supply sources don't usually carry Chrome-Moly tubes with the low thickness to diameter ratios preferred by bike builders. Dilisburg's price list shows 1-1/8" x .028" and 1-1/4" x .028" which I feel are the optimum size for top and bottom tubes in a "conventional" recumbent. Normally these are available no lighter than .035 which is overkill in many applications. They also have 1-3/4" x .035" which is perfect for tandem boob tubes and might be useful for really light single tube frames. Gaylord Hill says they also build recumbents, which could explain the thin tubes.
One possible complication is that they don't take credit cards, so you have to prepay or use C.O.D.
Two of our club members got a large order from them, this spring, and were pleased with the service and price.
Most frame building supplies, such as braze-ons, are available here in Mpls. If you can't find something, perhaps I can help.
