Andrew R. Stewart

Andrew R Stewart is a 48-yr. old, NY state born, hobby frame builder living in Raleigh, NC. He is a bike shop lifer, having started in high school working at JC Pennys' toy dept. In 1976 he was handed his first lug and file when hanging out at a competing shop. Since, Andy has been building an average of a frame or two a year and various fabrication/repair/tool projects. Always using steel, lugged construction is the usual, but some fillet work finds it's way in. His tools reflect his not wanting to spend too much $ on machining or materials. Andy is still working in the local shop, often riding in.
